At the beginning there was hydrogen. Then, more or less 15 billion years later (with a deviation of ca. 30%) the earth was created and then it was only a downhill ride:

• 570 million years ago life appeared

• 400 million years ago there was enough oxygen in the atmosphere for the flowers to bloom

• 350 million years ago the first animal came into existence

• 60 million years ago the sheep appeared
    And at that moment an idea emerged to use sheep for our purposes, I am sorry, not quite. There were no people then, so we had to wait for 58 million years yet to come: ........and much much later

• another 58 million years elapsed and Home Sapiens were conceived, but their thinking faculties were still in their infancy; let’s wait a bit more ...........

• 4 thousand years ago Babylonians were already out there and set about making use of sheep fleece (what crafty buggers!) - the sheep bleat “baah” (as a sign of their approval)

• in Anno Domini 1999 ALWERO,
company was established but everything had started when Ola and Roman came up with an idea to set up their own business that could be run at home. The production of products made of sheep’s fleece seemed a perfect choice:
firstly – it is a product featuring healing properties (everyone wants to be healthy, I guess)
secondly – its presence in shops is quite negligible
thirdly – it would follow family traditions
fourthly – why not?

in short THAT IS IT.

At the beginning of the company’s business activity only two employees were employed and the products sewn by them were sold by the owners at trade fairs.

And far at the horizon the sun rises...

• year 2000 thanks to direct talks with customers (over a cup of hot tea in winter) there emerged an idea for ALWERO’s production line. ALWERO’s products enjoyed such popularity that receipts from sale enabled the company to make investments in machinery and create new workplaces.

Its great but why so cramped?

• year 2001 in order to assure its customers of the top quality of its products, ALWERO fulfilled a number of standard requirements with regard to medical products, which was attested by the following certificates:

“REHABILITATION PRODUCTS” certificate

“HUMAN FRIENDLY” ecological marking

Well, so we already have our "factory" doesn’t it sound proud); it is located in Kety, it’s great but still cramped.

• year 2003 after three years of ALWERO’s business activity, the network of customers was large enough for the company to keep the production going all the year round, without any seasonal breaks (farewell to long holidays).

If in the year 2001 we had a factory, now we have a big "factory" and it is also in Kety, its good and we want more and our customers want more.

• since the year 2004 foreign customers’ share has been growing steadily. ALWERO has launched into displaying its products at trade fairs in Poland and Germany. The quality of materials used in production as well as the products themselves have been attested as compliant by:

ATTESTATION confirming conformance with requirements established for products used for rehabilitative and health protection purposes

CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY with requirements laid down for medical products

oraz WOOLMARK licence

Our sheep had to learn how to bleat the word “wool” in many languages: this is wool, schaffwolle, pasmatritie pazhausta, eto ve’hna

• year 2005 implementation of QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ISO as per the standard PLN-EN ISO 9001:2001.
The manufactured goods, having fulfilled successive quality requirements, were awarded the following certificates:

“SAFE FOR THE CHILD” Certificate

By the way, our "factory" is cramped again and the sheep bleat that it is time to ring some changes (IMPORTANT NOTICE – now they bleat in accordance with the ISO standard), to be continued.
